Beara GAA Notes 08.10.2019
October 08, 2019
This week will be a special occasion in Beara GAA as the All Ireland Minor and Under 20 cups won by Cork, will pay a visit to the peninsula. It is planned to visit all the national schools in Beara along with the secondary school. There will be a night of celebration on Thursday night (October 10th) at 7.30pm in the Eyeries Hall to mark the significant Beara contribution to the All Ireland minor victory.
Beara GAA are currently undertaking a strategic review of football in the division. The purpose of the review is to put a plan in place for the development of Gaelic Football in our Division for the years ahead.
As part of the Strategic Review, an open meeting will be held in Scoil Phobail Bhéara on the evening of Saturday 26th October 2019. It is imperative that, at this meeting, we gather all the views of all people who have an interest in the playing and administration of Gaelic Football on the peninsula. For now we would ask that anyone with an interest in football in Beara save the date in their diaries. Final details will be publicised closer to the date.
